Lynne Dee's Gallery

Lynne Dee's Gallery has evolved since 1986 from an at home family hobby to its present location under the careful nurturing by Lynne Richards, owner and caretaker of "the shop". The original emphasis of  "the shop" was and continues to be custom picture framing. Gradually a unique line of gifts was added along with country furniture and now, a web site, and the ability to offer merchandise for sale on the internet.

For those who visit "the shop" for custom picture framing, you will find on display nearly 1,000 sample picture frame corners and a large selection of round and oval frames that will enhance your art work, cross stitch, poster, photograph, certificate, or, memorabilia item. Conservation mat boards and conservation framing techniques are always emphasized.  Prints are readily available. The marvel of computer software allows you to locate and view 165,000 images that can be easily ordered. Antique prints of the Capital District area are also in stock.

Our unique gifts are varied and sure to please. We emphasize made in the USA items, preferably hand made and preferable made in the great northeast. Gift selections range from items for the bath, the home, the garden, jewelry with many pieces crafted by silversmith Timothy Shea, personal accessories, sweets, such as Sundaes Best hot fudge sauce, or, toys and books for the children. 

Country furniture was added in order to display the many gift items. Soon customers began to inquire if they could purchase the display piece thus greatly expanding this area of "the shop". We have a fine selection of cupboards, dry sinks, tables, desks, and cabinets in various colors. Our favorite furniture craftsman, John Byrne, has been building furniture pieces for over 30 years and his use of antique doors and windows in all his pieces as well as old boards whenever possible only adds charm and warmth to each piece.
